Higher University of Applied Sciences Degree in Business The scope of the degree programme is 90 cr, of which 60 cr is professional studies and 30 cr for the thesis/development project. The studies last approximately 2.5 years.

In-depth knowledge for the challenges of internationalisation
This degree programme improves the students’ knowledge, skills, and competence to succeed in demanding development, management, and expert positions with companies and organisations that are already international or on the verge of becoming international. A higher university of applied sciences degree produces the same competency for public offices and tasks as a higher academic degree (e.g. the Finnish KTM degree).
The education focuses on sectors of international trade which are of vital importance for the strategic management and growth of the company (brand management, supply chain management, leadership and change management, financing and risk management, encountering different cultures). In the development project (30 cr), the student develops innovative solutions for the international business of an organisation.
Additional information regarding application and selection: Applicants for this degree programme require a suitable university of applied sciences degree (for example a Bachelor of Business Administration) or other suitable academic degree and also three years of work experience in the field in question. An applicant that has previously completed post-secondary level vocational education and then later gone on to complete a degree in a university of applied sciences after a period of work, is required to have three years of work experience after completion of the post-secondary level vocational degree.

Application form, copies of your school certificates and testimonials are to be returned to the admissions office. Applicants who have acceptably completed all the requirements will be invited to the entrance interview. The entrance interviews will be held in Paraatikenttä 7, Kouvola, Finland.
There is a tuition fee for students outside EU/ETA countries who do not have a permanent residency in Finland. Scholarships covering full or half of the tuition fee availabe for a limited number of outstanding candidates. Guide concerning the tuition fee and scholarships.
