The field of Business

Education in business is at our Business Faculty in Kouvola. Other business education from Kotka has been transferred to Kouvola, except for Business Logistics which remains at our Technology, Forestry and  Business Faculty in Kotka. The Manager of Business is Ari Lindeman. There are altogether 900 students in the four degree programmes of the field, of which nearly two thirds study in Kotka and the rest in Kouvola, and there are about 40 staff.      

Business knowledge

Basic knowledge of Business (marketing, financial management, entrepreneurship) and internationalisation of the sector, International Trade (International Business degree programmes in both Finnish and English), International Public Administration, and Business Logistics.

Important objectives

Answering the challenges of the changing future working life to strengthen pedagogic knowledge, by tightening cooperation with companies and public administration and by increasing participation in R&D projects.

Field strengths

Internationalisation, steady working relationships and constantly updated degree programmes and teaching methods.
