Information security checklist
- Information security is based on legislation and normative guidance.
- Everyone is responsible for information security, including you. This document focuses on information security relating to electronic data processing.
- Read the information security instructions of your organisation and adhere to them.
- The use of information systems always requires a personal access right.
- The security of an unprotected e-mail message equals the security of a postcard.
- Data Administration regularly makes backup copies of the most important information. However, you should always make backup copies of your essentially important files on a CD or memory stick, for example.
- Save your data on network drives. All information saved on a local computer hard drive will be lost if the hard drive crashes.
- Internet and email are primarily intended for work and study.
- Always remember to log off from the software and your computer when you finish working.
- If students use other than KyAMK's own email systems, they should forward their mail there from KyAMK's system.
- The staff should use the auto-reply function if they are absent for more than a week.
