Entrepreneurship development and entrepreneurial spirit are at the heart of the EMRG – a group of researchers, lecturers, entrepreneurs and students interested in exploring new markets and the opportunities they offer. As an international mind and entrepreneurial spirit are essential for its success our mission and aim is to help fostering those skills and expertise in students and entrepreneurs alike.

Main objectives of the EMRG are:

• providing the business community and policy makers in Finland with high quality analytical studies, surveys and reports exploring the opportunities that emerging markets may offer to Finnish companies and the ways to utilize them

• accumulating and fostering knowledge and expertise that can be of use to students as future managers, the business community and policy makers at regional, national and international levels

• contributing to the efforts of Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences to further develop international standing as a Finnish institution of higher education with leading expertise in linking East and West.

Going for the business opportunities emerging markets offer will be impossible in the absence of initial spark that may trigger action from companies and entrepreneurs. Generating this spark and trying to ignite entrepreneurial activity is part of the EMRG priorities and main reason behind the establishment of the Emerging Markets Business Incubator.
