Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences actively pursues  Erasmus in Europe, Nordplus (N+ online) in the Nordic Countries, North-South-South in Africa, FIRST in Russia, and bilateral student exchange programmes with over 100 institutions of higher education in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Socrates-Erasmus is the European Commission's educational programme for higher education students, teachers and institutions. The programme involves the promoting of student and teacher mobility, teacher mobility, and funding of intensive courses and realising different education development projects.

The ERASMUS University Charter (EUC) provides the general framework for all the European cooperation activities, which a higher education institution may carry out within the ERASMUS programme. The University Charter sets out the fundamental principles and the minimum requirements with which the higher education institution must comply when implementing its ERASMUS activities. KyAMK EUC
